National Threatened Species Day: Platypus in Campbells Creek

Learn from global platypus experts and local residents how you can help this most intriguing animal continue to thrive here and elsewhere.

Under threat of extinction in Victoria, platypus still survive in Campbells Creek and its catchment and can be seen in its major tributaries in the middle of Castlemaine!

The Friends of Campbells Creek and the North Central CMA have joined forces to improve platypus habitat in Castlemaine’s waterways with substantial funding from the Commonwealth Government.
