SUMMARY:AGM with meal
DESCRIPTION:The FoCC Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Wednesday 09 August\, starting with a meal and get-together at the Five Flags Hotel (Campbells Creek) at 6.00pm\, followed by the meeting.  The AGM itself will start at 7.30.  It will be short\, made up of two important agenda items: \n\nReports from the past year\, our achievements and challenges;\nElection of the new office-bearers.\n\nWe believe that volunteer groups such as ours continually need the infusion of new ideas and new energy.  We hope you will read the attachment on the roles of our Committee members\, and consider whether any of these roles suit your interests and abilities.  Feel free to contact me (Secretary) on 0421 222 344\, or our President Miles on 0427 591 269 if you want to know more. \nAll positions are re-elected annually\, and several current position-holders will be stepping down.    Although the official positions are neatly defined and appear quite separate\, the team is in fact very collaborative with lots of support offered.  If you would like to contribute more to the group\, but are unsure of the commitment involved\, consider volunteering to support an elected position-holder as an assistant. \nIf you are not a member you are welcome to join the meeting as an observer.  A full member has voting rights. It really helps us to have a wide range of members  – for achieving our landcare goals\, for the credibility that comes with citing a large group when negotiating with the Council and other stakeholders\, and for making considered decisions.  Our website provides plenty of information on who we are and how to join. \nWe’d love to see you there.  Come to both parts\, or just the meeting.  It’s a sociable event and a great chance for new members to join in.\nLet us know (info@focc.org.au) by Monday evening\,  7th August\, if you are planning to attend\, so we can make sure we have the right-sized room available. \nROLES OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS \nAGM Agenda
